# Introduction

> Kodda data platform documentation

Kodda takes the complexity out of getting your data to where it needs to be. Generate pipelines, manage complex transformations easily, create seamless workflows, detect and respond to changes in your environments, and load data instantly — all with Kodda.

## What Kodda does

* **Connects** to your sources and targets — SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Informix, Redshift, Snowflake, Salesforce, Google Analytics 4, Mail Chimp, and delimited or Parquet files on a local file system or S3. See [Manage Connections](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/getting-started/manage-connections.md).
* **Generates mappings** from source tables, views or custom queries, creating the target tables for you with the right data types. See [Generate Mapping](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/user-guide/generate-mapping.md).
* **Loads data** with the pattern you choose — full refresh, incremental insert/update, deletes, or Change Tracking. See [Edit Mapping](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/user-guide/edit-mapping.md) and the [Examples](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/examples.md).
* **Orchestrates** mappings, SQL scripts and email notifications in [workflows](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/user-guide/design-workflow.md), and runs them on a [schedule](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/user-guide/schedule-job.md).
* **Monitors** every run in [Map History](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/user-guide/mapping-history.md) and [Workflow History](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/user-guide/workflow-history.md), with the full log a click away.
* **Documents** your target tables in a published [Data Dictionary](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/user-guide/data-dictionary.md).

## Where to start

1. [Getting Started](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/getting-started.md) — logging in, the Home screen, users, connections and the common parts of the interface.
2. [User Guide](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/user-guide.md) — every screen, in the order you use them: generate a mapping, edit and run it, build a workflow, schedule it.
3. [Examples](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/examples.md) — step-by-step tutorials for loading files from S3 and for incremental loads using row versions and Change Tracking.
4. [Architecture Guide](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/architecture-guide.md) — how the server, metadata repository, agents and scheduler fit together, and how to scale them.

See the [Release Notes](https://docs.caoanalytics.com/release-notes.md) for what is new in each version.
